Borough has a part to play in the success story of the critically acclaimed MINI convertible, which will surely become as much an icon of the ‘noughties’ as the original was in the ‘sixties’. Borough have perfected the technique of chrome plating plastic to the point where the plating is now durable enough for external automotive fittings in addition to the interior trim we are all familiar with.

Rollover bars are the embodiment of sporty open air motoring and those on the MINI feature chromed plastic covers, that deliver the look and feel of metal with the consistent high quality finish of plated plastic.

The continued increase in MINI sales and the recent fire at a French competitor has lead to an increase in business for Borough. Employee numbers have increased to more than 90, a 15% increase, with most new jobs being created in the moulding and plating departments. Borough takes its responsibilities to the environment seriously and has appointed an Environmental Administrator to maintain the current high standards set by the IPPC(Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control) Europe-wide directive.
