Borough Limited, the Southend based plastics engineering company received an accolade from Lord Hoyle of Warrington in honour of the company’s recent achievement in attaining ISO14001 - a top environmental award.

Members of the Borough Limited management team were invited to a reception at the House of Commons hosted by the Surface Engineering Association (SEA), with Lord Hoyle giving the keynote speech. Lord Hoyle past Labour Party Chairman and former member of the Trade & Industry Select Committee is an enthusiastic advocate for British Engineering and spoke of the importance of manufacturing to the UK economy.

Lord Hoyle praised Borough for its efforts to apply the Integrated Prevention and Pollution Control directive (IPPC). Lord Hoyle said: “These accreditations are not given lightly, and Borough’s commitment to the environment deserves the highest praise.”
